September 23: Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) members gathered together for a group photograph during the opening ceremony of Exercise Elang Ausindo 2011 at Ngurah Rai Air Force Base in Bali on September 5, which lasted for a week.

No. 77 Squadron RAAF deployed eight F/A-18 aircraft and approximately 80 personnel to Denpassar International Airport, Bali to participate in the exercise, a bi-lateral Fighter exercise between the TNI-AU and RAAF.

The exercise enhanced tactical fighter coordination and cooperation between the two air forces, and further developed the relationship between Australia and Indonesia.
